North Peace Savings and Credit Union Innovates Using Silanis E-Signatures

July 18, 2013

Financial services organization improves member experience and unites members separated by distance.

MONTREAL, QC (PRWEB) July 18, 2013

Silanis Technology, a leader in enterprise electronic signature solutions with over 600 million documents processed annually, today announced that North Peace Savings and Credit Union, a regional financial services organization, will implement Silanis’ e-signing service, e-SignLive™. North Peace Savings chose e-SignLive™ to enable members to instantly and securely sign documents over the web from anywhere.

North Peace Savings will first add e-signatures to retail and commercial lending applications, following then to account openings using a click-to-sign method. “We’re taking our business digital to help reduce paper and to unite our widespread membership, making it convenient for them to access our services,” said North Peace Savings and Credit Union CEO, Mitchel Chilcott. With an average of 100 loan applications per month and around 450 accounts, North Peace Savings expects to save both time and costs while offering its members improved service, including the ability to electronically sign using an iPad.

Member experience is a strong driver for many financial organizations that choose to implement electronic signatures. “We’re adding convenience and speed for members while eliminating inefficiencies like printing, tagging, scanning and shredding – it’s a win-win for everyone,” continued Chilcott.

Leading the way as innovators for member experiences is something that North Peace Savings has been recognized for and continues to pursue. The organization has instituted “Smart Offices” in their branches, especially those located remotely, to ensure every member is able to access resources that may not be available at their branch, including subject matter experts to provide loan advice. “We will integrate e-signatures into our “Smart Offices” so that a member is able to review documents on screen with a loan expert and also sign on screen and authorize the deposit into their account immediately without ever going to paper,” said Chilcott.

“This competitive win reinforces Silanis as the choice for financial services in Canada,” said Silanis CEO and co-founder Tommy Petrogiannis. “It’s our security, our ease of use and the cost savings and customer experience our technology allows that will help credit unions improve service to their members,” continued Petrogiannis.
