Managed Services Provider Gives The Atlanta Opera the Peace of Mind to Focus Less on IT and More on Bringing Mainstage Productions to the Community

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 19, 2013

ProviDyn, a provider of IT support, strategy and services for small and medium-sized businesses and nonprofits, today announced that it has been selected to provide managed IT services, support and strategy to The Atlanta Opera, a nonprofit and one of the finest regional opera companies in the United States.

Before seeking a managed services provider, The Atlanta Opera managed its IT needs internally. As is the case with many nonprofits, it struggled with limited resources and the lack of a long-term IT strategy. Solutions to IT problems often used a temporary band-aid approach and did not address larger, underlying problems. This eventually prompted The Atlanta Opera to seek outside expertise. ProviDyn was highly recommended by the organization’s auditors so, when growth made IT needs paramount, they knew where to turn.

ProviDyn assessed The Atlanta Opera’s IT needs and recommended a strategy that would ensure the long-term health of its infrastructure, at the most reasonable cost. In addition to moving the organization to its private cloud, ProviDyn is providing vendor and network management, 24-7 support and Hardware as a Service. The latter brings The Atlanta Opera a new server, at a fraction of the upfront cost of purchasing one outright.

“Working with an organization in our community that is as well respected as The Atlanta Opera, is very rewarding,” said Hamish Davidson, president and CEO of ProviDyn. “We continue to see non-profit organizations undermine what they can accomplish with technology because they fear the expense would be too great when actually, they can enjoy the same information technology benefits as an enterprise at a fraction of the cost by taking advantage of managed services, the cloud and Hardware as a Service.”

“The Atlanta Opera realizes the importance of paying attention to the big picture in everything we do, while constantly looking forward to what’s next,” said Tomer Zvulun, general and artistic director of The Atlanta Opera. “With our focus on producing mainstage opera productions and community engagement programs, we needed a provider who was capable of thinking the same way and ProviDyn stepped up to the challenge. We focus on our expertise and ProviDyn focuses on theirs. It’s a great partnership.”
