Pinnacle Strategies’ challenge was the client faced redundant engineering which imposed delays and increased costs. The engineers found themselves consistently having to “reinvent the wheel” with each customer order and lead times were unacceptably stretched to twenty-nine weeks. These issues compromised the company’s competitive position, imposed excessive costs on each product, and threatened customer satisfaction.

As a result, the client’s engineering design hours per product from sixteen to five. Document consolidation proved even more dramatic, cutting review and approval time, per product/project, from 73.5 hours to six hours.

Additionally, engineer morale improved. Engineers report gratitude for being liberated from repetitive tasks so that they can focus on more challenging and more interesting design opportunities.
