The one-hour class will include counter surveillance techniques, identity theft protection, and “lessons learned” from NSA’s PRISM program. Brought back by popular demand, this “encore” session is free and open to the public.

The course has been developed for IT and IT security professionals including Network Administrators, Data Security Analysts, System and Network Security Administrators, Network Security Engineers and Security Professionals.

“Counterveillance, or more commonly referred to as counter surveillance, is about protecting yourself, your family, and your business from cyber snoops,” explained Miliefsky, who will be leading the course. “Whether you’re an IT professional looking to safeguard company data, or just someone who’s concerned about cyber privacy, this course is designed for you.”

SnoopWall (www.snoopwall.com), a mobile security company, is the official sponsor of the course. Each participant will receive a complimentary copy of the company’s first product release, an antispyware program for Android that blocks cyber intrusion.

Founder and President of SnoopWall, Gary Miliefsky is a respected information security expert who advised the National Infrastructure Advisory Council (NIAC), which operates within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, in their development of The National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace. Miliefsky is a Founding Member of the US Department of Homeland Security, serves on the advisory board of MITRE on the CVE Program and is a founding Board member of the National Information Security Group.

“As an information security professional, I feel it’s time to share some of the ‘insider secrets,’ especially with so many becoming aware of their online vulnerability,” concluded Miliefsky.

Since 2009, Concise Courses has been a leading training and resource center for IT professionals. Max Dalziel, Founder and CEO of Concise Courses USA, said, “Concise Courses looks for infosec classes that provide viewers with actionable solutions, and Gary’s ‘Counterveillance’ class is no exception. This is a must attend event for anyone who wants to learn about specific tactics and solutions that they can use to protect themselves against the individuals and governments that want to spy on them.”

While this is a FREE event, space is limited and confirmed only after registration.
