Laplink Sync™ Delivers Groundbreaking and Unrivaled Synchronization
Now all your devices are kept in sync with Laplink Software’s newest product.
Bellevue, Wash. (PRWEB) August 16, 2013
Laplink Software, Inc., the leader in PC migration and synchronization technology, today announced the release of Laplink Sync, the surefire way to keep your computers, tablets, and smartphones synchronized with the most up-to-date versions of important data.
Laplink Sync is the newest software from the file transfer and synchronization pioneer and uses peer-to-peer synchronization, meaning it does not rely on cloud connectivity. This approach allows users to directly connect devices to transfer and synchronize files, increasing data throughput speeds and reducing security risk as well as risk of connectivity failure or data loss.
“Peer-to-peer synchronization is in great demand,” explained Laplink’s CEO, Thomas Koll. “However, many tools on the market today rely on servers in the cloud, which require Internet access and can congest home and business networks. Laplink Sync is unique. Our goal was to create an easy-to-use and powerful product – and I believe we’ve accomplished that. Now you can sync your files with just a few clicks.”
Laplink Sync quickly and easily transfers and synchronizes files and folders between PCs and tablets or smartphones. (Windows and Android platforms are supported in this release; Mac, iOS, and other platforms are coming soon.) Using Laplink’s proprietary UltraSync technology, the software intelligently synchronizes the files which have been changed, added, or deleted, greatly simplifying the sync process.
“With smartphones and tablets gaining functionality and becoming more and more popular, everyone needs an easy way to sync their important files to and from their computers and mobile devices,” continued Koll. “And with the explosion of data in terms of unique files and file size, always relying on a cloud solution is simply too cumbersome – it can be very slow and too expensive for bandwidth and storage.”
Laplink Sync offers advanced file selectivity with multi-directional synchronization. This gives users the ability to define exactly which documents, pictures, music or other files are moved to or from which device or computer.
Laplink Sync also has the ability to leverage Intel’s new Common Connectivity Framework (or “CCF”) a new middleware to manage connectivity between computing devices.
“Laplink is the first sync vendor that supports CCF to manage a broad set of connectivity options for all kinds of devices. Intel’s CCF makes it easy to connect through wireless and wired networks, and even through Bluetooth. Working with Intel has given Laplink an edge to provide seamless connectivity between all devices. Laplink Sync recognizes and utilizes CCF if it is present on a device and will fall back to traditional connectivity if it is not,” added Koll.
Laplink Sync features include:
- A simple, user-friendly interface for quick and easy synchronization in just three clicks.
- UltraSync technology that detects which files have been changed, added, or deleted, providing the fastest synchronization possible.
- Reduced security risks, connection issues, and bandwidth congestion with peer-to-peer connectivity.
- Compatibility with the most popular devices including: Windows (XP and later versions) and Android 2.1 and above. Windows RT, Mac, and iOS compatibility coming soon.
- A broad set of connectivity options with support for Intel© Common Connectivity Framework, including wireless, wired, and Bluetooth.
Laplink Sync is available at http://www.laplink.com for $39.95, which includes two licenses for Windows and one license for Android. Individual licenses for Windows are available at http://www.laplink.com for under $20; Android licenses are available from Google Play.
