Toronto’s Metro College Offers the Only Process Plant Piping Design Certificate Program in Ontario

Canada wide industry trends and market analysis indicate that career opportunities have been and are being created for engineers specialized in piping design. The Metro College Process Plant Piping Design program is a highly practical and interactive intensive course designed to meet this new job market demand.

In the first subject of course package, Students will learn the fundamentals of piping system components, specifications, the types and application of these components, North American design standards, as well as the computer applications used in piping design and technology.

Students will also learn the fundamentals of plant layout, piping equipment, design principles and the procedures used in the design, and engineering of complex process plants. As an important benefit, students will acquire hands on working experience through the completion of piping design workshops – design projects that will provide students with the opportunity to apply piping design principles and standards, and connect students with their newly acquired knowledge to actual engineering practices. The workshops also give a concrete sense of the various roles and responsibilities as a piping designer.
