Marietta, GA (PRWEB) September 05, 2013

Marietta Vet Clinic and Marietta veterinarian Julian Peckich DVM are thrilled to announce the first annual "Bring Your Child to Learn at the Vet Day" on Friday, September 13, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to closing. Parents can bring their children and pets to the Marietta Vet Clinic to learn how to be a good steward to animals. The veterinarian and staff will talk with the children about animals’ needs and how to live together in harmony.

The Marietta Vet Clinic understands that pets require a tremendous amount of care and believes children can play a key role in helping their parents to care for the family pet. Feeding, bathing, cleaning the litter box, and taking the dog out can be shared chores between everyone in the family. The Marietta Vet Clinic intends to teach children age-appropriate information on how to take care of their pets in the best manner. Proper food—and the proper amount of food—for a dog or cat make a difference in a pet’s quality of life. "Some foods can be dangerous to pets, so children need to learn about that," says Ashley Peckich, office manager at the animal clinic.

In addition to feeding and bathing, the Marietta Vet Clinic will also discuss topics such as playing, teasing, and leaving a dog to rest. The staff will also cover appropriate etiquette between dogs, cats, and children, as respect is important for the happiness of everyone in the family. "Marietta Vet Clinic welcomes children and pets always with open arms. The animal clinic is a great addition to our business complex," says Marietta cosmetic and Marietta emergency dentist Kirk Kimmerling DDS.

“Our primary goal is to increase children’s confidence in caring for their pets and to instill in them respect and awareness for their pets,” says Julian Peckich DVM, the chief veterinarian at the Marietta Vet Clinic. “We also want parents to leave with the assurance that their children understand how to help take care of the family pet.”

Marietta Vet Clinic offers affordable pet vaccinations, dog vaccinations, cat vaccinations, puppy vaccinations, kitten vaccinations and wellness care to the Marietta, Kennesaw, Dallas, Acworth and Powder Spring areas. It would be the great pleasure of the clinic to welcome you, your children, and your pets to the pet clinic.
