“Today’s managers are feeling more pressure and uncertainty than ever. Solomon’s refinery courses can help them more effectively navigate the waters and identify potential profit opportunities,” said Barth. “Practical, hands-on examples help illustrate our unique approach to the intricacies of marginal economics and the workings of Linear Program (LP) models.”

  •     The difference between average and marginal costs
  •     How to calculate netback prices
  •     Why the “herd mentality” is so common

No prior knowledge of refinery economics or LP models is required to attend the Refinery Economics Seminar.

“Our seminars are not just for the economic analyst,” said Barth. “Instead, the courses are intended for any decision-maker who takes part in the development of refinery operating plans. The information available is valuable to everyone from product marketers to process engineers.”

Barth has been with Solomon Associates since 2004 and has 33 years of experience in the planning and optimization of refining and petrochemical complexes.
