TalkPoint Announces Webcasting Technology Partnership with Communications Media Management Association (CMMA) for Fall National Conference
TalkPoint will provide webcasting technology to broadcast keynote speeches and case studies.
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 24, 2013
TalkPoint, the leader in global communications technology, specializing in browser-based audio and video webcasting, today announced its partnership with the Communications Media Management Association (CMMA), for its national conference in Nashville, Tenn.
“The Innovation Conference” will be held October 6-8 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nashville Downtown. It will feature real-world examples, inspiring stories and actionable techniques to help CMMA members move beyond business as usual.
As an added feature of this year’s fall conference, TalkPoint will help CMMA execute the organization’s first hybrid meeting, using webcasting to facilitate increased communication and engagement with conference attendees.
“We are very excited to partner with TalkPoint on our Fall National Meeting,” said CMMA President Chris Barry. “CMMA is exploring new ways to share meeting content with our members across the country that can’t attend regional or national meetings. The ability to add TalkPoint’s hybrid component to Nashville is a big win and promising for the future.”
Highlighting the Innovation Conference, TalkPoint will provide the webcasting technology to capture key elements of the conference including speaker presentations and case studies.
The featured presentations include:
October 6 @ 1:30PM CT
- Conference Opening remarks, 1:30 PM CT: Chris Barry, Best Buy; Lynne Glaus, Best Buy; Cynthia Hotvedt, Medtronic
- Keynote speaker presentation, 1:45 PM CT: Cecily Sommers, author of “Think Like a Futurist: Know What Changes, What Doesn’t and What’s Next,” helps people make sense of a world gone flat, fast and fickle. With tremendous clarity, Sommers shows how the social, economic and environmental crises of our time spring from just four constant and predictable forces. Understand how they work together to drive change, she says, and you can stake out a territory that is yours to invent and own – for the long-term.
“It’s a pleasure for us to partner with CMMA to extend the audience reach of their national conference,” said Nick Balletta, CEO of TalkPoint. “The TalkPoint team enjoys the presentations at CMMA events, so we’re happy to provide the webcasting technology to afford more members the opportunity to partake in the conference experience.”
TalkPoint’s commitment continues by providing CMMA member-only on-demand webcasts that include:
- Robert Stephens, Founder, The Geek Squad/Former CTO, Best Buy- Propagating a Sustainable Innovative Culture – Robert Stephens founded Geek Squad with $200 and a bicycle in 1994. Today, Geek Squad is a household name, and as part of Best Buy, it is the world’s largest technology support company. As “Chief Inspector,” Robert was the catalyst for the strong culture of service and innovation among Geek Squad Agents. Code names, badges and a penchant for polyester are not just brand trappings – they are a way of life for more than 24,000 agents.
Known for his engaging presentations, and a PR specialist and video enthusiast in his own right, Robert will join us for a lively conversation about propagating a sustainable innovative culture on your team.
- Lorna Ross, Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation: Transformational Thinking Presentation and Q&A – The work of driving innovation to the heart of a large organization is distinct from most other forms of innovation that operate at the edges and travel outward. Innovation, that attempts to disrupt the existing status quo and to challenge norms and orthodoxies, need to behave in very particular ways to be effective. It needs to withstand different forces and forge unlikely alliances.
At Mayo Clinic, the Center for Innovation is a fully imbedded, integrated part of the clinical practice. It operates from a user-centric design philosophy and is staffed with non-traditional roles and disciplines. This presentation will describe the evolution of this group, how its process has been adapted in response to environmental influencers and how it keeps its creative edge while driving for maximum impact and influence.
