Bruce Graham, the owner of East End Screen Printing, a Long Island printing company, comments on an article published by the Los Angeles Daily News, which discusses how UCLA is creating t-shirts to commemorate a player that passed away last week.
According to a September 19th article published by Los Angeles Daily News titled “Bruins Honor Nick Pasquale with T-shirts, towels, moment of silence,” UCLA’s head football coach Jim Mora and the rest of the Bruins football team say they will continue to honor Nick Pasquale, a walk-on receiver, throughout the season. Pasquale was killed on September 8th by a car.
In honor of their fallen teammate, the Bruins and UCLA printed blue t-shirts with Pasquale’s No. 36 at the Rose Bowl game. The article says 100 percent proceeds from the sales during that game will go to the Nick Pasquale Foundation. Fans and UCLA students will still be able to purchase the t-shirts at the student store with 40 percent of the proceeds going to the foundation.
Bruce Graham, owner of East End Screen Printing, a Long Island printing company, commends UCLA for using t-shirts to commemorate the player. “T-shirts are a great way to pay tribute and remember someone who passed away,” he says. “Pasquale was a good player and t-shirts allow people to express their feelings about him. They also help fundraise for a bigger cause, which is very important. Here’ the money made from the t-shirts will go to the Nick Pasquale Foundation to benefit athletes.”
