Houston, TX (PRWEB) September 27, 2013

Worldwide Power Products (WPP), a power-generation equipment provider to industrial and petroleum clients worldwide, today announced it has signed a partnership agreement with HIPOWER SYSTEMS®, a manufacturer of power-generation and power-distribution equipment in the U.S. and Canada. Under the terms of the agreement, WPP will be the sole authorized Texas distributor for HIPOWER's standby backup generators.

“As we expand our distributor program we’re looking for experienced, well-connected power-distribution equipment providers to represent us across the U.S.,” said Rafael Acosta, President of HIPOWER SYSTEMS. “WPP brings just the right kind of expertise and enthusiasm that we need to grow our presence in and across Texas.”

“These units, which range in size from 25kW to 3000kW, will be a welcome addition to the market in storm-prone Texas," said WPP VP of Sales & Engineering Dave Vennie. “Standby HIPOWER units are a perfect choice for our Texas customers, as they are known for their efficiency, durability and sound-dampening properties.”

WPP plans to offer the HIPOWER standby backup units for sale and rental, and to incorporate them into its innovative emergency standby rental solution. With this program, customers pay a flat monthly rate to reserve a rental and enjoy unlimited hours of usage in the event of an emergency.

“WPP has become globally known for its ability to deliver new surplus, used and remanufactured power-generation equipment quickly and at highly competitive rates,” said Vennie. "With the HIPOWER partnership, we are adding quality new equipment to our portfolio, as well."
