Hoban Equipment Limited Erects New Asphalt Plant
New Asphalt Drum Mixers plant provides Hoban Equipment with 250 tons-per-hour asphalt production capacity.
Salmon Arm, British Columbia (PRWEB) September 30, 2013
Looking to expand its asphalt paving offerings in Canada, Hoban Equipment Limited (HEL) has purchased a new portable asphalt plant. The plant is model EX8842 from Asphalt Drum Mixers Inc., which was first erected near Regina, Saskatchewan, to repave a 17-kilometer stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway. HEL selected this particular model for its ease of use and productivity.
The EX8842 produces up to 250 tons of asphalt per hour. It includes a counterflow mixing drum, baghouse, cold feed bins, self-erecting storage silo, drag conveyor, asphalt cement tanks, mineral filler silo, and recycle bins. The system is designed for fuel efficiency and low emissions, and it also features the ability to incorporate up to 30 percent recycled material in its asphalt mixes.
To erect the new plant, a service team from Asphalt Drum Mixers traveled to Saskatchewan to oversee the project. “The whole setup process went well, thanks to the help of the Asphalt Drum Mixers crew,” said Mike Tiffin, project manager for HEL. “And because the new plant is so easy to use, we can train new plant operators in no time at all.”
