FB Proxy Gives Unrestricted Facebook Access to its Users No Matter What the Block

October 1, 2013

idcloak releases its FB proxy for quick access to Facebook on connections blocking access to the social media site.

Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) October 01, 2013

idcloak releases a new FB proxy specifically for internet users wishing to reach Facebook from a connection where the social media site is blocked. Places where this kind of restriction occurs include workplaces, universities and even whole countries.

The proxy operates through a virtual browser embedded onto idcloak’s website. Any activity on that browser occurs anonymously from the proxy server's location, which can be chosen from the UK, Japan and the US.

Because the service specifically caters for internet users away from home, most visits are expected to come from mobile devices. The proxy has been designed for cross-platform use in order to cope with this reality.

idcloak’s Robin Welles recommends users manage the proxy’s security settings before applying it to unblock Facebook. "It is not just a question of gaining access to the social media site, you need to do so discretely. If content filters detect Facebook content coming through their network, they will close down connection to the proxy and, most likely, prevent any further access to our site. This has already happened with our Chinese users and with some western corporate networks."

To prevent detection, idcloak have included several encryption options. "The 'SSL option' encrypts the connection, 'Encrypt URL' stops ‘facebook’ appearing in the web address and 'Encrypt Page' adds further protection against Deep Packet Inspection. The user should activate all of these, or at least the first two, before connecting to Facebook."

In cases where idcloak’s proxy is already unavailable on a network, Welles points to the idcloak VPN bypass proxy, which is due for release next week. "Once you have our VPN software on your machine, you have access to a worldwide network of anonymous servers as well as a personal IP address in the country of your choice. You won’t need to worry about discretion – just by running the VPN you operate at a wholly different level of stealth."

See http://www.idcloak.com for access to the limited early bird discount offer for the VPN, which comes with one week’s free trial.
