October 29, 2013

Dr. Karl "Fritz" Disque, Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder of National Health Care Provider Solutions (NHCPS), and Executive Director of the Disque Foundation, speaks to students and faculty at Des Moines University about Transforming Profit to Purpose.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) October 29, 2013

On Tuesday, October 22, Dr. Karl “Fritz” Disque made a presentation on Transforming Profit to Purpose and his journey into social entrepreneurship to over 75 students and faculty at Des Moines University.

Dr. Disque, a former student at Des Moines University, is a long-time entrepreneur, stretching back to his pre-collegiate days. He currently splits his time between his anesthesiology practice, NHCPS, and the Disque Foundation. His ability to create and maintain a balance between all three was one of his focal points for his presentation.

“I am able to work for all three companies because of the great team we have in place. While I love practicing anesthesiology, I also have a passion for entrepreneurship and giving back. Instead of sacrificing one for the other, we built a team that leverages each other’s strengths,” Dr. Disque said. “This is something I feel is super important to anyone in attendance from medical students to the those studying hospital administration. They were there because of their passion for entrepreneurship, but no one makes it alone. Team building is essential to having a your mission realized.”

Dr. Disque’s constant drive to inspire others has taken him to Panama, Ethiopia, Haiti, and Costa Rica to provide medical aid to locals in underserved areas, and now back to his former college to speak to those with the same drive and passion.

“This was a pleasure to speak at the university that enabled so much growth for me,” said Dr. Disque. “This unique opportunity allowed me to perhaps add a little insight to an entirely new group of amazingly talented minds. I love having the opportunity to meet with these young entrepreneurs and pass off some of the valuable lessons that I have learned over the years.”

Dr. Disque is currently working with NHCPS, a fully online certification and recertification website for health care professionals, and the Disque Foundation to spread the reach of their Save a Life Initiative. Through this initiative, all proceeds from NHCPS are donated to furthering the efforts of the Disque Foundation.

“The Foundation provides health care education to the underserved all over the world, and NHCPS does the same in a different way.” Disque said. “By combining their efforts, we are able to provide this vital education to areas that need it most.”

This initiative has been the primary driver behind both NHCPS and the Disque Foundation, and has given Dr. Disque the opportunity to combine all of his interests into one large-scale movement.
