JailInmate.Org to Include All Criminal Complaints in Their Incarceration Reports
Will Give People Details of the Criminal Complaint That Led to Incarceration
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 08, 2013
JailInmate.org will now include information on what type of criminal complaint led to an inmate being behind bars in the first place, the company announced yesterday.
“At launch time last month, we were only able to supply our customers with information about if someone was in jail or had ever been in jail,” a JailInmate.org spokesman said. “But customers have contacted us and told us that it would be more helpful for them to know why the person was behind bars. So we have updated our database and reports with criminal complaint information as well.”
The information will include the type of crime the complaint was filed for, what action the court took regarding the complaint, and if the person was convicted of the complaint, the JailInmate.org spokesman said.
“Some innocent people end up in jail for a short period of time after an improper criminal complaint is lodged against them,” he said. “Then a judge will throw out the complaint and set them free. If that is the case, people have a right to know about it. They shouldn't just assume that because the person was in jail at one point that they are a criminal or guilty of anything.”
There will be no additional charges for the supplemental information, the JailInmate.org spokesman said.
“We just want to give people as much information as possible,” he said.
