Adapt Courseware, the provider of comprehensive adaptive online curriculum resources that individualize each student’s learning experience, will be featured in two sessions at Sloan-C's 19th Annual International Conference on Online Learning next week, providing institutional and front-lines perspective of its proven adaptive learning approach and validation research data. A global audience of faculty, administrators, technology professionals, and instructional designers will learn how colleges and universities are using Adapt Courseware to deliver a more engaging and effective learning experience that is producing measurable learning outcomes.
The first session, "How Personalized, Adaptive Learning Improved our Student Completion, Retention, and Success Rates," will be led by Dyan Lester, director of Distance & Distributed Learning at Southwest Virginia Community College (SWCC). She will highlight the methodology and findings of SWCC's Adaptive Learning Research Project in which the institution utilized Adapt Courseware's mastery learning techniques to improve student knowledge and success. The session takes place on November 21st at 1:15 p.m. eastern time.
"The industry has made tremendous progress over the years in online education, yet there is still so much more that we can do to help improve student engagement, collaboration, and performance in an online environment," said Hank Bowman, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Adapt Courseware. "The Sloan-C conference brings together a motivated and innovative group eager to collaborate and advance the teaching and learning process, and we are looking forward to exploring ways that adaptive learning can help them deliver the best possible learning experience."
Additionally, Bowman will lead "Time to Adapt: A Discussion for Innovative Instructors" where he will discuss real-world examples of how professors have engaged students on a deeper level using adaptive learning strategies. He will share success stories whereby instructors have been able to more effectively communicate with students, better manage their time, and provide a higher level of personalized support, making their roles as instructors even more impactful. This session will be streamed live for virtual attendees on November 22nd at 9:40 a.m. eastern time.
Adapt Courseware is also exhibiting at the conference, which brings together more than 1500 on-site and 1100 virtual attendees from hundreds of institutions around the world. The event takes place November 20th through 22nd in Lake Buena Vista, FL.
