Hampstead, NC (PRWEB) February 06, 2014
Automobile enthusiasts are constantly searching for their next great vehicle. Of course, they are usually tasked with selling their current ride first. Among the most frequent buyers and sellers are German car drivers, who are the primary focus of internet start-up GermanCarPost.com.
The new enthusiast driven site caters to buyers and sellers of high-end German automobiles, such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and Volkswagen. Sellers post descriptions and photos of their vehicle(s) for sale to a national audience. Potential buyers contact the seller via contact form or by posting on a public forum independent to each vehicle, a feature exclusive to the site. The 60-day vehicle listings can be searched by model, body style, transmission type, location, age, and whether it is being listed by a dealer or private seller. Main competitors are Cars.com and Autotrader.com, whose similar postings sell for around $20. Private listings on GermanCarPost.com are no charge.
The site is the vision of Joe Wade, a Hampstead, NC entrepreneur with nearly a decade of experience in automotive retail. Wade recognized a void in the market between the national pay-to-post sites and the widely used craigslist.org. Wade, 33, comments: "The pay sites cater to a broader range of clients, but treat cars as more of a commodity. Our users are passionate. Cars are more to them than just a mode of transportation." He continues, "Craigslist.org is free as well, but it isn't possible to search nationally or narrow down by vehicle type. The car our user wants may not be just around the corner. I think what sets us apart is the unbeatable combination of no charge posting and razor-sharp German car focus."
GermanCarPost is also integrated with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Google Plus, allowing users to effortlessly share vehicles of interest with their social media circles.
The venture is supported by charging automobile dealerships a small fee for posting their Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and Volkswagen inventory. There are no advertisements on the site, ensuring that only content relevent to the audience it serves is displayed. "I'm confident that this model will prove to be the most captivating and user-friendly." Wade says. "My goal is to see this become a starting point for buyers and sellers. When someone in Florida finds the perfect car in Oregon on the site, I'll know it's working."
