Broadcom is continuing to deliver unprecedented performance and capabilities to smartphones and wearables through advances in 5G WiFi, NFC and location technology. Broadcom today announced the industry’s first 5G WiFi 2×2 MIMO combo chip for smartphones, which doubles wireless performance while improving power efficiency and range. The company also introduced a family of NFC controllers, providing OEMs with highly integrated, low-power solutions that can be easily incorporated into a broad base of mobile devices.
Broadcom is also showing a range of LTE innovations at the show.
