Verio Becomes Exclusive Service Provider of NTT Communications’ Cloud(n) in North America

March 6, 2014

Expands IaaS Cloud Offerings with Enhanced Functionality and Reduced Pricing

OREM, Utah, March 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Verio Inc., the leading provider of online business solutions, today announced it has been selected as the exclusive service provider of NTT Communications’ Cloud(n) platform in North America. By offering this latest release of Cloud(n), Verio is expanding its Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings with enhanced functionality and reduced pricing. The new Cloud(n) features provide customers with a unique and innovative cloud experience, ideally suited for the infrastructure requirements of ISVs and software developers in both large and smaller organizations.

“Verio’s introduction of the latest release of Cloud(n) represents a major step for NTT Communications’ global cloud strategy. “We are proud Verio will be the exclusive service provider of Cloud(n) in North America, and the first Cloud(n) offering outside of Japan,” said Motoo Tanaka, Senior Vice President of Cloud Services at NTT Communications. “Verio’s large customer base and reputation for quality, innovation and customer service will provide both North American customers, and those in Japan and elsewhere outside of North America who chose to host their VMs in North America, with an excellent experience.”

The Verio Cloud(n) offering will be priced competitively, with server plans starting at $10 per month. Free bandwidth will also be featured as part of the launch, made possible by Verio’s extensive relationship with NTT Communications, using the Tier-1 NTT Communications Global IP Network. Bandwidth usage is often one of the largest expenses of IaaS and is typically difficult for customers to anticipate. Now customers can more accurately predict their IaaS expenses, without surprise.

“Verio is proud to expand its IaaS cloud offerings and be selected by NTT Communications as the exclusive provider of Cloud(n) in North America,” said Robert Howard, Vice President of Global Sales at Verio. “The new functionality and advanced features of Cloud(n)( )will be well received by our partners and customers.

This Cloud(n) release also takes advantage of the latest features and functions within Citrix CloudPlatform, a major component of the Cloud(n) platform. Verio, NTT Communications, and Citrix have worked closely together to bring to market this powerful and easy-to-use IaaS offering.

“Partnering with Verio and NTT Communications offers customers a unique blend of feature elasticity,” said Krishna Subramanian, VP Product Marketing, Cloud Platforms Group, Citrix. “Verio’s expertise in hosted solutions for SMBs, mixed with NTT Communications’ emphasis on quality and precision, blends well with the future proofing capabilities of Citrix CloudPlatform powered by Apache CloudStack.”
