Ann Arbor, MI (PRWEB) May 02, 2014
After unveiling enki ASC™, an integrated mobile platform targeted towards gastroenterology-based surgery centers, NextServices™ announces the availability of integrated endoscopy writer for the web and the iPad versions of enki EHR™ at the Digestive Disease Week 2014.
Physicians can now directly connect their endoscopes with enki EHR™, a cloud-based system. This integration allows real time capture and storage of endoscopy images within the EHR system. Captured images can be edited and tagged for specificity. Physicians may also choose to edit the images on their iPad and instantly append them to be a part of the patient’s operative note. enki EHR™ also supports USB foot pedal integration enabling physicians to capture images without using hands.
“In a typical gastroenterology surgery center setting, servers are installed to connect client-server software to the endoscopy machine. The endoscopy footage is transferred to a processing room where the physician or assistant assess the footage and capture relevant images using third party software. They then print the images on a medical record. This is inconvenient, costly, and time consuming. The endoscope integration in enki EHR™ eliminates the clutter of getting endoscopy reports and automates the entire process, saving time to see more patients on a business day,” said Satish Malnaik, CEO and Co-founder, NextServices™.
enki ASC™ solution also serves as a clinical and management platform where a gastroenterologist can document a patient’s record easily, in a clinically pertinent way. The operative note can be customized to include procedure images within minutes. Specific tracking modules help document anesthesia administration prior to, during, and post procedures. Administrators and clinical assistants can use integrated surgery safety modules and adhere to global standards of ambulatory care. The iPad app allows gastroenterologists to make notes on endoscopy images and retrieve medical records while on the move.
As a cloud and mobile-based platform, enki ASC™ does not require centers to invest in expensive servers and IT staff. The platform also integrates billing services that include benefits, prior authorization, compliance management, and state-reporting.
“Digestive Disease Week is considered as the event where innovators in gastroenterology gather. It’s the best place for us to introduce enki’s endoscopy integration that would save gastroenterologists time and money,” said Praveen Suthrum, President and Co-founder, NextServices™.
Attendees can experience the enki solution on the Digestive Disease Week exhibit floor at booth 2714, May 4-6, 2014.
