Alma™ Rolls Out Customized Report Cards for K-12 Schools

June 30, 2014

Affordable K-12 school management system’s new flexible, intuitive reporting tool saves time for teachers, administrators.

Portland, OR (PRWEB) June 30, 2014

Alma, the modern and affordable K-12 school management system, today announced plans to roll out new features for creating customized report cards starting in July. The addition of this tool to the integrated student information (SIS) and learning management (LMS) system will enable teachers and administrators to manage the report card process more easily and efficiently – minimizing the stress of end-of-marking periods and ensuring timely delivery to parents and students.

“Schools are tired of the burden of endless paperwork and cumbersome reporting systems,” said Alma CEO Andrew Herman. “They need tools that can automate tasks and free up time to spend in the classroom. The addition of customized report cards builds on the existing range of features Alma provides to help schools create an easy-to-use, all-in-one system that fits any budget.”

Historically, report cards have been a painful, paper-based process in many schools, while others have had to wrestle with overly complex reporting software. Alma’s intuitive, flexible report card system automates the task, significantly reducing the time it takes to create and deliver report cards, while providing clear, useful information about student performance.

Designed with educators’ busy schedules in mind, the tool offers workflow features that help manage the input of grades and comments from each teacher, as well as the administrative approval process.

The level of customization that Alma provides allows schools to tailor their report cards to their unique communities, including support for both traditional and proficiency-based grading to accommodate a variety of educational practices. Alma will also offer options for customized designs and layouts.

The report cards tool will be made available to Alma’s existing partner schools in July, and will be made widely available in September for the 2014-2015 school year, at a cost of $2 per student.

The addition of customized report cards is among the platform’s many features that will be rolled out this year. Alma plans to roll out additional reporting and analytic tools before the start of the 2014-15 school year.
