Nexicon, a provider of products and services for intellectual property security, business intelligence, has announced an agreement with a global media and entertainment company to provide title monitoring services of internet activities for the company's movie releases and television shows.
Through the title monitoring services, Nexicon will help entertainment businesses track the illegal download of copyrighted material by internet pirates.
As part of the agreement, the customer will receive multi functional intelligence reports including raw data, trend analysis and infringement details for copyrighted titles. The reports assist the company in identifying the illegal download of some of its blockbuster films and television shows. These reports can be used to pursue legal remedies for pirated titles, estimate losses due to piracy and forecast release dates for new titles.
Richard Urrea, CEO of Nexicon, said: "This agreement is a tremendous achievement for our company and the most significant milestone reached as part of our business plan. We are delighted to provide our new customer with the business intelligence required to make highly informed decisions relating to online copyright infringement."
