Bexel Broadcast Services Named to Distribute Stratos Digital Video Communication Products in U.S.

CHICAGO, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stratos International, Inc. , a pioneer in fiber optic communications, has named Bexel Broadcast Services, Fiber Optic Solutions group as a national value-added distributor for Stratos' digital video communications products. Founded in 1981, Bexel has become a leading supplier to the broadcast and production communities by providing cutting-edge video/audio rentals, engineering expertise, technical advice and custom production solutions. Bexel's Fiber Optic Solutions group specializes in the sales and rental of optical equipment to the broadcast industry, manufacture of optical cable assemblies, and complete integration and installation of optical cable and equipment.
Specifically, the deal provides Stratos with an additional sales channel for their compact video media converters (VMCs) and accessories. Available for a wide range of digital video applications, these fiber-to-coax modules effectively eliminate the distance limitations and signal degradation of coaxial links. They are ideal for television studios, video production houses, video switches, stadiums, amphitheaters, on-locations shoots, video production houses or anywhere where digital video signals must be sent over considerable distances.
