Klocwork, Inc., the proven leader in automated source code analysis solutions for improving software security and quality, today announced that Nokia Siemens Networks is using Klocwork's Enterprise Development Suite within its IP transport and carrier switches group. With Klocwork, Nokia Siemens Networks will detect software defects earlier in the development process to reduce costs and ensure system reliability.
Nokia Siemens Networks, a leading global enabler of communications services, was looking for a solution that would enhance the software quality for its robust, carrier grade networking equipment. As one of the largest telecommunications infrastructure companies with operations in 150 countries, Nokia Siemens Networks conducted a rigorous evaluation of various source code analysis tools before selecting Klocwork based on its scalability, analysis accuracy, and ability to detect software quality defects.
"Nokia Siemens Networks is committed to providing the most reliable carrier grade networking equipment products on the market," said Orly Nicklass, PH.D., head of research and development of Carrier Switches at the IP Transport BU at Nokia Siemens Networks. "The addition of Klocwork's best-of-breed source code analysis solution for identifying defects early in the development process will allow us to further enhance our reputation for market leadership and innovation while reducing our development costs and improving the development process."
"Klocwork is proud to be the source code analysis tool of choice for Nokia Siemens Networks," said Mike Laginski, Klocwork's chief executive officer. "We continue to demonstrate momentum and success in the networking and telecommunications equipment market serving four of the top five North American manufacturers and this agreement extends our leadership globally. We look forward to working with Nokia Siemens Networks as they drive the detection and mitigation of software defects earlier in the software development lifecycle."
Klocwork provides highly scalable and accurate source code analysis tools to identify the root causes of software security and quality defects, track them throughout their software development process, ensure that they have been dealt with by the development team and prevent them from reoccurring. Solutions are available in two versions: Klocwork Enterprise Development Suite for C/C++ and Java and Klocwork Enterprise Development Suite for Java.
