Japanese PM, Opposition Leader to Discuss Anti-Terror Bill

Tokyo, Oct. 29 Kyodo – Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda and opposition Democratic Party of Japan leader Ichiro Ozawa will meet Tuesday morning to discuss the new bill for providing refueling support for US-led antiterrorism operations in and near Afghanistan, Fukuda’s Liberal Democratic Party and the DPJ agreed Monday.
Fukuda and Ozawa will be holding the meeting in their capacities as heads of their respective parties, Kenji Yamaoka, the DPJ’s chief negotiator for Diet affairs, told a news conference.
