Yahoo Updates Messenger

Yahoo has launched a beta update to its instant messaging service, which includes unlimited file transfer.

It has also adapted its Messenger program for local languages in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, India and Vietnam.

Yahoo Messenger 9.0 also includes call forwarding to a mobile or landline, as well as a media player to send URLs of images, maps and videos. And the program’s buddy list has been redesigned so users can click to make a VoIP call to a contact.
