For today's high-performance network environments, the ProSafe 12 Port Gigabit Layer 2 Managed Switch (GSM7212) features 12 10/100/1000 Mbps ports and 12 SFP Gigabit ports to support bandwidth-intensive applications such as video, voice, and database transactions in growing businesses. The GSM7212 provides full Layer 2 management functionality including extensive VLAN support, resiliency, traffic prioritization, port trunking, port mirroring, RADIUS, DHCP features, and broadcast storm protection.
"The addition of the ProSafe 16 Port Gigabit Smart Switch GS716T to our market-leading line of lightly-managed Smart Switches rounds out our product set with a variety of port counts available to provide businesses of all sizes with the value and performance that have made these switches so popular," explained Kevin Allan, NETGEAR Director of Product Marketing -- Business Solutions. "For companies that need full Layer 2 Gigabit switching, the GSM7212 is an affordable, high performance solution that brings fiber flexibility to the edge of the network to improve workgroup connections or to the core to upgrade to a Gigabit Ethernet backbone."
