Green Dot Appoints Chris Britt As Chief Product Officer

MONROVIA, Calif., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Green Dot Corporation, a leading provider of retail-based financial services for America's underserved community, today announced Chris Britt has joined the company as Chief Product Officer. In his new position, Britt is responsible for the product strategy, development and management of all Green Dot consumer-facing products and services, including prepaid debit cards, credit cards, gift cards and Green Dot Network cash acceptance.

Before joining Green Dot, Britt managed Visa's General Purpose Prepaid Card product line and led the team that successfully grew the line into Visa's largest prepaid business. He helped initiate Visa's entry into the retail channel for card distribution, and oversaw cross-functional product management, sales and marketing teams. Britt also developed and managed Visa's relationships with key prepaid issuers, processors and partners. His other achievements at Visa included co-developing and managing Visa ReadyLink and authoring multiple patent-pending applications for the prepaid category.

Prior to his tenure at Visa, Britt held management positions at a number of highly successful companies. He led the Financial Services division at Comscore Inc. Before that, he was Vice President of Business Development at Engage, a majority-owned subsidiary of CMGi Inc. He joined CMGi/Engage as part of its $2.3 billion acquisition of Flycast Networks, where he managed channel strategy and business development. Britt began his career in strategy consulting with Accenture after graduating from Tulane University.
