WolfKing Introduces Hybrid PC Gamepad
Gaming input devices manufacturer WolfKing has launched what it claims to be the world's first hybrid two-in-one PC gamepad and keyboard.
The Warrior Xxtreme gamepad combines the circular 54-key disc of its predecessor, Warrior, with the second attached disc having 40 keys in a modified QWERTY arrangement. It includes a backlight and two USB 1.1 ports. According to WolfKing, it uses standard USB 2.0 keyboard drivers and does not require additional software for either Mac or Windows operating system, a feature imported from the predecessor. The other features include built-in volume controls and three layer silicon membrane. The company also claims that it has a lifespan of over 10 million keystrokes.
The gamepad is priced at $79.99 and is available through Dell's website.
Last month, Wolfking's rival Belkin also announced a hybrid gaming keyboard, n52te, priced at $69.99. It features a scroll wheel and 15 fully programmable keys.
