Wapple has been named 'Most Innovative Enterprise Application' at the Mobile Internet Innovation Awards 2007 that took place at the Mobile Internet World trade show on 14 November in Boston. The Awards were created by xchange magazine and Trendsmedia to recognise and celebrate leaders in the fast growing Mobile Internet market.
"We are delighted to win this award. It is valuable recognition of our innovative technology, and is also a great endorsement of our development team that works hard to ensure Wapple Canvas remains the most versatile and powerful mobile publishing platform," says Anne Thomas, business development director at Wapple. "The award also recognises the efforts of our management and support team, who are committed to providing excellent, first class service."
"xchange is pleased to acknowledge Wapple's contribution to the development and promotion of mobile Internet technology and services," said Mike Saxby, publisher of xchange. "Mobile Internet's success is dependent upon sustained innovation of companies like Wapple that will no doubt be rewarded in the marketplace but also deserve recognition by the community it supports."
Eliot Weinman, conference co-chair added, "I congratulate Wapple for winning this year's Mobile Internet World Innovation Award. The Mobile Internet World Innovation Awards winners truly represent the best and brightest mobile Internet technology, services and network implementations in the world."
The winners were selected by an independent judging panel, including Zeus Kerravala, senior vice president enterprise research, Yankee Group; Joseph Ferra, chief wireless officer and senior vice president, Fidelity Investments; Peter White, principal analyst and founder, principal, T4 Advisory; and representatives from xchange and Trendsmedia.
Wapple's range of web-based site building solutions and payment options make the mobile internet accessible to all sizes of businesses. And its partner program makes it easy for digital agencies and web designers to offer mobile internet site development to their clients. Partners can pitch and work on projects for up to ten clients at the same time with only a minimal charge until the sites actually go live.
