Pepperweed's IT Stabilization Solution Continues to Soar, Now Leveraging New HP IT Service Management Solutions

INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Pepperweed Consulting, an expert and certified provider of IT Management services, announced today that their highly successful IT Stabilization solution is now mapped directly to the latest HP IT Service Management software. The IT Stabilization solution provides customers with a prescriptive phased approach to establishing key IT controls and accelerating IT process maturity.
The Pepperweed IT Stabilization solution is designed to shift IT investment from reactive firefighting to proactive completion of value-add projects for the business. Stabilization means having control and leveraging that control in other integrated IT processes. The solution combines five ISO/IEC 20000 processes (Configuration, Change, Release, Incident and Problem Management), and demands a level of automation around change monitoring and detection to enable reconciliation of the change process with the live environment.
IT Stabilization (http://www.pepperweed.com/solutions/itstabilization.php3) is a culmination of Pepperweed know-how and the IT Process Institute's (ITPI) Visible Ops Handbook which provides a foundational and practical approach to tackling ITIL. "Many customers embark on an IT service management initiative and their first question is typically 'where do we start?'. Visible Ops provides guidance on where to start and Pepperweed provides the necessary intellectual property and services to design and implement quickly," comments Greg Downer, VP of IT Management Consulting at Pepperweed.
According to Downer, if the goal is stabilization, that means controls, which translates to Change and Configuration Management as a first step. A key part of Change and Configuration Management is closing the loop on the process. That cannot happen without solid technology behind it and that is why Pepperweed has integrated the solution very tightly with HP software offerings, including: HP Service Manager 7.0, HP Change Control Manager 7.0 and HP Universal CMDB 7.0.
"With HP Universal CMDB now so tightly integrated to the workflow and control functions that HP Service Manager 7.0 and HP Change Control Manager provide, we can now provide customers with a 1-2-3 punch that will deliver even quicker," says Downer. Downer adds that Pepperweed has measured significant impact with this solution including 10% reduction in incident volume (25% reduction in critical incidents), 25% reduction in mean time to repair, 90% decrease of unplanned changes and 75% reduction in time spent on audit and compliance activities. These results are only achieved by designing and implementing a true solution, which means equal attention paid to people, process and technology.
"With a proven track record of innovation and success, Pepperweed enhances the value and efficacy of HP software for customers," said Chuck Neal, vice president of Channels and Alliances, Software, HP. "Their depth of experience in IT process and strategy and HP technology helps our customers achieve positive business outcomes."
