Investigators say they found lurid Internet messages and child pornography on the computers of a former district attorney in Texas who killed himself.
Louis Conradt Jr. shot himself a year ago in his home as a SWAT team burst through the door followed by cameras for Dateline NBC, The Dallas Morning News reported Tuesday.
Recently released state records show Conradt, 56, sent lurid messages and photos to a supposed 13-year-old boy, who really was an adult working for Perverted Justice, an Internet watchdog group, the Morning News reported.
Material considered child pornography also was found during a forensic search of Conradt's three laptops, a cellphone and computer disks, said state records released in response to a request by the Morning News.
Conradt served as Kaufman County district attorney for more than 20 years until resigning in 2002 to run in a judicial race, which he lost.
