INX Awarded $4.3 Million Contract to Deploy Optical Network Solution

INX, Inc., (NASDAQ:INXI) announced today that it has been selected to design and deploy a comprehensive optical network solution for a major U.S. metropolitan area.
As part of an effort to increase business continuity and improve services for its citizens, the city selected INX to design and deploy a citywide Cisco Systems-based Optical Network solution that will provide transport services to over 200 locations throughout the city. The fully resilient network will help control costs and increase efficiencies by providing Network Redundancy and Disaster Recovery capabilities to key city offices for applications including voice, video and data. The city-owned private network will be comprised of Cisco ONS Equipment and provide an OC-192 Backbone Ring with multiple OC-48 Sub-rings.
The contract is valued at approximately $3.8 million in product and $500,000 in services revenue for INX.
