Qcept Technologies Secures Investment From Siemens Venture Capital In $3.25M Series B Add-on Round

Siemens Venture Capital Corporate Fund Investment Partner Tom Hawkins Joins Qcept Board of Directors
Qcept Technologies Inc., a leading developer of Chemical Metrology solutions for semiconductor manufacturing, announced today that it has closed its $3.25M series B add-on round of funding, led by Siemens Venture Capital GmbH ("SVC"). As part of the investment, SVC Corporate Fund Investment Partner Tom Hawkins joined Qcept's Board of Directors, which includes Paul H. O'Neill, former Secretary of the United States Treasury, and Dr. David Lam, Silicon Valley industry pioneer and founder of Lam Research.
Proceeds from the investment, which closed on December 20, will be used to accelerate product development and expand sales of Qcept's Chemical Metrology solutions for the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
