Shopit.com, the fastest growing free commerce network on the web, has partnered with Netvibes, the pioneer of the personalized home page. Netvibes and Shopit are working together to create commerce enabling tools and a shopping module for users. The Shopit widget on Netvibes allows users to sell, trade and auction items, shop for products and manage store activity for user accounts. Shopit and Netvibes are changing the way users sell and shop online, making it fast, easy and free.
The Shopit/Netvibes Profile Module
The Shopit Profile Module allows users to manage all Shopit store activity directly from a Netvibes custom home page. Tools in the Module include customer/friend communication and notifications, item offers, transactions, sales statistics, add products and managing inventory. Users can access Shopit store profiles via the Netvibes Module, and manage sales on any other network through one interface.
The Shopit/Netvibes Search Module
The Shopit Search Module allows users to browse through millions of products and services, compare prices, share with friends, then buy, sell and trade quickly and easily all from your Netvibes personalized homepage.
Shopit stores are designed to leverage the power of social networks for mass distribution of users' products and services across the internet. The Netvibes Shopit Module gives users easy access to buying communities on many other networks and the ability to manage these multiple stores from your home page. Shopit plans to launch its music and movie download service through Netvibes in the coming weeks as well.
"This partnership is aligned with our strategy for commerce enabling communities and bringing buyers and sellers together no matter where they are on the web. Our goal is to educate people on a new way of buying, selling and doing business online. We feel the integration of the Shopit Module in the Netvibes universe will be a powerful tool and a benefit for users who want to bring their online businesses across other networks onto one page," says Matt Hill, CEO and founder of Shopit.com.
"It's no longer enough to simply have your own website. Businesses must engage social consumers by becoming a relevant and convenient part of their everyday lives. Shopit's new Netvibes widgets enable buyers and sellers to engage in a whole new type of shopping experience that's personalized and integrated naturally the online experience of the individual," said Freddy Mini, COO of Netvibes.
