NaviSite, Inc. (NASDAQ: NAVI), a leading internet services provider for application management and managed hosting solutions, today announced that it has been chosen by Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (NASDAQ:NDAQ) for inclusion in the new Internet Index (NASDAQ:QNET). According to NASDAQ, the index includes some of the most exciting and innovative publicly-traded internet companies engaged in a broad range of internet related services including, but not limited to, internet access, search engines, web hosting, web design and e-Commerce.
"We are pleased to have been chosen to be a member of the NASDAQ Internet Index that is the benchmark for an important and dynamic sector of the U.S. economy and global innovation," said Arthur Becker, Chief Executive Officer, NaviSite." The inclusion recognizes not only our leadership position in this sector, but also shows market confidence in our ability to drive growth and innovation in tune with the leaders in this dynamic and fast-growing segment."
