First Mile Communications Expands Network in Buckhead

First Mile Communications, a provider of internet services, has announced the expansion of its metro ethernet service into Buckhead, Atlanta's preeminent business district.
First Mile will provide broadband internet to customers to and from Tower Place, a 610,000 square foot landmark building located in the heart of Buckhead. First Mile combines its technology with Southern Telecom's Wireless Lateral product, will offer broadband internet connectivity with speeds ranging from 3 Mbps to 200 Mbps to more than 7,700 businesses within a five-mile radius of Tower Place.
Stanley Allen, president of First Mile Communications, said: "Establishing a Buckhead hub site is an important step in our effort to blanket metropolitan Atlanta with fast, reliable and secure internet services. Buckhead is the largest single-office market in Atlanta with a wide variety of firms that can benefit from a scalable online solution."
