At the iEXPO2007 exhibition today, Kapow Technologies and NEC System Technologies, Ltd. announced a partnership that will foster the adoption of Web 2.0 and mashup technologies in the enterprise. The companies will begin their partnership marketing activities this week by providing mashup demonstrations at the exhibition, December 5-7, at Tokyo Big Site.
Under the terms of the partnership agreement, the companies will jointly develop solutions that provide rapid system development leveraging existing systems through mashup technologies. In addition, NEC System Technologies will provide sales and system integration services to the Japanese market for the Kapow Mashup Server, the software industry's leading mashup server. The Kapow Mashup Server gives companies the ability to take any application component with a Web interface and quickly and easily repurpose it into an application involving Web-based content, data or business logic.
"We are extremely pleased to introduce Kapow's advanced technologies to the Japanese market. We believe that Web 2.0 technologies will continue to permeate the enterprise domain, revolutionizing our customers' business practices and communication methods," said Mr. Kazuyuki Jimbo, Senior Executive Director at NEC System Technologies. "Kapow Technologies and NEC System Technologies offer compelling new solutions to system integration, enabling our customers to not only mash up corporate data, but integrate powerful Web resources, at a fraction of the time and cost it takes when compared with traditional alternatives."
"It is an honor to be partnering with NEC System Technologies, because it is a trusted world leader in systems integration services, and has the ideal team to deploy the Kapow Mashup Server in a wide variety of industries," said John Cimral, CEO of Kapow Technologies.
Today's partnership announcement is another step in NEC System Technologies' Enterprise 2.0 strategy, which will evolve into a tangible IT framework for its customers.
