Repost This

InfoSpace, Inc. (Nasdaq:INSP), a leading developer of proprietary metasearch technologies, today announced that it has extended its multi-year agreement with Yahoo! Inc. This agreement allows InfoSpace to continue to deliver web search results and text-based advertising listings from Yahoo!, to its network of metasearch properties and affiliates.

InfoSpace leverages its unique metasearch technology to power a portfolio of branded Web sites such as Dogpile (www.dogpile.com), WebCrawler (www.webcrawler.com), MetaCrawler (www.metacrawler.com) and WebFetch.com (www.webfetch.com) and provide private-label search services. This metasearch technology allows InfoSpace to aggregate, filter and prioritize results while exploiting the power of multiple algorithm types offered by single search engines.

“Extending our partnership with Yahoo! demonstrates our continued commitment to deliver the most powerful metasearch experience,” said Jim Voelker, Chairman and CEO of InfoSpace. “Today’s consumers want to be assured they are getting the most comprehensive and relevant results, and we go a step further by bringing them together in one place.”

“Yahoo!’s unique partnership with InfoSpace provides an important opportunity for us to help connect advertisers with online audiences that use metasearch for their searching needs,” said Dean Stackel, Senior Vice President Business Development for Corporate Partnerships. “This partnership is a key component of our broader strategy to enable advertisers to efficiently reach highly targeted — and therefore highly valuable — categories of Internet users.
