Kano Technologies Corporation, a market leader in high-performance direct and network-attached storage products for Windows(R), Linux and Apple Macintosh(R) systems, has expanded its NetCOR(TM) IP-SAN product line. Today Kano announced the introduction of the NetCOR 6000 storage system, a high-availability iSCSI-based SAN (storage area network) appliance for the small to midsize business (SMB) market.
The NetCOR 6000 delivers ground-breaking enterprise-level IP-SAN features to SMBs at a price-point unmatched by its competition. It allows users to centralize server storage under a single, secure management and hardware platform while providing ample storage expansion options, as well as robust system monitoring features. With the integrated StorSAN(TM) Manager Console, world-class Intel(R) hardware and fully redundant components, the NetCOR IP-SAN provides a solution with zero-downtime.
"Our SMB customers have been waiting for a simple, expandable high availability IP-SAN product that fits their budget, and the new NetCOR 6000 delivers at every level," said Robert Young, national sales manager at Kano. "Additionally, with the six-step StorSAN Manager setup wizard, the NetCOR 6000 deploys in minutes, making it perfect for remote sites without dedicated IT staff."
The NetCOR 6000 series is offered in a 3U low-profile rack-mount configuration with a single Intel controller, or a dual Intel controller providing complete hardware redundancy and fail-over. Each NetCOR 6000 base model can be custom configured with up to 15 high performance SAS (Serial-Attached-SCSI) or high-capacity SATA hard drives for up to 15 terabytes of protected IP-SAN storage in a single unit. The NetCOR 6000 also allows for flexible storage expansion through the addition of up to three N200e SAS expansion arrays, providing 51 terabytes of high availability SAN storage. Each NetCOR 6000 has a unique cable-less component design with complete field serviceability in mind. All hardware components are field-swappable including drives, fans, power supplies, Intel controllers and mid-plane.
The NetCOR 6000 provides simple yet robust management features through the StorSAN Manager OS. StorSAN Manager provides an effortless six-step setup/configuration and an easy-to-use management interface, making network configuration, volume and RAID setup a snap for SMB customers and departmental workgroups. At the core of the StorSAN Manager OS is Multi-path IO management with active failover. This feature provides automatic failover management and self monitoring of all redundant hardware components, which includes up-to-the-second failure alerts and graceful shut down.
NetCOR 6000 is now available in North America through qualified Kano Technologies' reseller partners. Prices start at MSRP $4999 and includes world-class On-Site service, 3-year warranty and toll-free technical support.
