MySpace, the popular online social network, and Sprint announced in Hollywood, Fla., Thursday they will join forces with a unique service early in 2008.
Under the plan, Sprint would become the first U.S. wireless carrier linked to the free MySpace mobile Website. MySpace is a product of Fox Interactive Media which has worked with Sprint on several projects since 2002.
Sprint customers with enabled phones will be able to get direct access to MySpace, without additional cost, while MySpace Mobile adds graphic design, a revamped e-mail interface and other new features.
With prominent placement on the Sprint mobile Web home page, customers will have immediate and easy-to-find access to our network of sites on Sprint phones. FIM President Peter Levinsohn, who made the announcement, said.
