AT&T to Provide Managed Internet Service to JOHA
AT&T has announced that Joliet Oncology-Hematology Associates has awarded AT&T a three-year contract to provide Managed Internet Service, in addition to other network solutions.
AT&T will enhance operational efficiency between Joliet Oncology-Hematology Associates’s (JOHA) eight locations by providing increased bandwidth for the growing demand for digital medical-file transfers.
With AT&T’s Managed Internet Service (MIS) solution, doctors in Kankakee, Flossmoor, Joliet and Morris can transfer medical files and information across AT&T’s network.
Backed by Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology, MIS not only provides higher bandwidth capacity but also faster system response to meet steadily increasing online demands. Ultimately, these connections provide physicians diagnosing serious medical problems quicker access to critical medical information.
Virgil Pund, vice president of government/education/medical accounts at AT&T Midwest, said: “Advanced medicine and the latest technology are essential to providing quality medical treatment today. Joliet Oncology-Hematology Associates will be better-enabled to build healthy communities through increased capabilities and collaboration with AT&T’s network solutions.”
