SaaSWizard Launches New Application Development Platform

Web-based business process automation solutions company SaaSWizard has launched the version 2.0 of Java-based rapid application development platform for hosted business to business applications.

According to the company, SaaSWizard 2.0 lets developers and original equipment manufacturers to compile applications that can be hosted by the platform or inside the corporate firewall. It will also enable users to automate business processes.

Colin Earl, chief executive at SaaSWizard said: "I'd say the main focus of the new version of functionality is the business rules engine."

The version 2.0 of SaaSWizard adds functions enabling dynamic data modelling, graphical drag-and-drop workflow, and a virtualized grid to ensure that an application runs during a server or component failure. The solution also allows quick creation of custom tables and table relationships along with application customization, audition and advanced access controls for organizations to meet regulatory mandates, the company claimed.

SaaSWizard 2.0 is built on open source technology stack, including Linux, JBoss application server and the MySQL database. It supports Windows and commercial UNIX platforms such as Solaris and AIX, the company said.

The application can be integrated with lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) and Windows management instrumentation to activate automatic discovery of users' computers. The recent version of SaaSWizard also includes a charting and reporting engine with drag-and-drop dashboard compilation.
