Clarendon Hills Deploys Networked Security System

December 18, 2007

Federal Signal’s Safety and Security Systems Group and the Village of Clarendon Hills, Illinois, have announced the deployment of a municipal networked security system to enhance public safety and security around the village’s downtown train station.

Federal Signal’s municipal networked security system provides Clarendon Hill’s first responders with a platform to send vital high-speed data, including streaming video, over a licensed 4.9 GHz wireless mesh network.

Patrick Anderson, chief of police of Clarendon Hills, said: “This system feeds vital public safety data to our police station to help officers monitor events. It also offers access to video images in their vehicles that will better prepare officers to respond to events before they arrive on scene at the train station.”
