CSC Wins $613 Million DISA Contract for Information Systems Network

Computer Sciences Corporation, a provider of information technology and services, has been awarded the Defense Information System Network and Defense Network Management Support Services-Global re-compete network engineering contract from the Defense Information Systems Agency.
The indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract, which has a two-year base period and three one-year options, has a contract ceiling amount of $613 million if all options are exercised. This contract is the result of a competed acquisition, and is a continuation of the previous Defense Information System Network (DISN) Network Management Support Services-Global Network Engineering Contract (DNMSS-G NEC). The Defense Network Management Support Services-Global (DNMSS-G) contract was awarded to CSC in June 1999.
Under the terms of the new agreement, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) will continue to provide design, engineering, operation and management of voice services for the Defense Switched Network (DSN), the secure voice services of the Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) and the network management systems for both the DSN and DRSN. These include the advanced DSN/DRSN Integrated Management Support System and the Integrated Network Management System (INMS). CSC will also provide support for other related DISN networks and systems and their respective management systems.
The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) includes networks for US services, agencies and combatant commanders. The network management infrastructure will provide continuous communications for war fighters around the world.
