Sonic Software, BearingPoint and Sun Microsystems Bring Service-Oriented Architecture To Enterprise IT Architects Across the Country

Posted on: Wednesday, 19 January 2005, 09:00 CST

Seven-City Architect Forum Series Provides IT Leaders with Insight on Building and Managing Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) with an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)

Sonic Software, BearingPoint, Inc. and Sun Microsystems have joined forces to deliver a seven-city Architect Forum on service-oriented architecture (SOA). Following a highly successful 10-city tour in October 2004, these invitation-only, half-day events will provide IT architects with an exploration of SOA best practices among experts and peers. The forums, led by experienced Sonic, BearingPoint and Sun SOA professionals, will include an opening presentation from Sonic Software Chief Technology Evangelist David Chappell, author of the first and definitive book on ESBs. Additionally, the forums will feature SOA success stories, and a technology demonstration featuring the Sonic ESB(R) product suite with Sun's service-oriented development (Java(TM) Studio Enterprise) and deployment (Java Enterprise System) platforms as well as the Solaris 10 operating system on a variety of x86-based platforms.

Service-oriented architecture (SOA) represents the opportunity to achieve broad-scale interoperability, while providing the flexibility required to continually adapt technology to business requirements. As a result, it is quickly becoming the prevailing model for new business application development. By attending this forum, IT architects and project leaders can learn how to identify the critical requirements for their enterprise SOA, and significantly reduce SOA project risk through best practices and the use of enabling technologies such as Java Business Integration, standards-based Web services and enterprise service bus (ESB) infrastructure.
