LambdaNet Partners With Group9 to Extend Network Sales in North America
Posted on: Tuesday, 1 July 2003, 06:00 CDT
LambdaNet Communications, the pan-European provider of telecommunications and Internet services today announced that it has selected Group9 Communications to provide sales development and marketing support across North America.
The partnership with US-based Group9 Communications will reduce the time it takes for LambdaNet to enter the American market and enable more effective local pre-sales support for target customers.
Initially, LambdaNet and Group9 will focus their sales efforts on carriers and network service providers that have gaps in their existing European networks or are looking for total connectivity, broadband capacity and carrier services across Europe to enable them to extend the services and network reach available to existing and new multinational customers.
"We intend to take better advantage of the market opportunities in North America. The decision to work with Group9 was based on its deep and extensive experience in the telecommunications industry and its demonstrated understanding of LambdaNet's unique business model. We believe that Group9 is in a position to help us to move smarter and faster against our sales goals and strategies," said Bernie Smedley, CEO of LNG Holdings S.A., the parent company of LambdaNet Communications.
"LambdaNet is a premier provider of bandwidth, wavelength, IP and collocation services deep into all the major markets across Europe. Using their 22,000km network in 11 countries, LambdaNet's real strength is the density of its national networks in key European markets," explained Chris Nein, President of Group9. "We are true believers in the LambdaNet offering and our ability to extend its reach throughout North America. We're proud to be part of their sales team."
