Veraz Receives INTERNET TELEPHONY(R) Magazine's 10th Annual Product of the Year Award

Posted on: Tuesday, 15 January 2008, 09:00 CST

Veraz Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:VRAZ) announced today that Technology Marketing Corporation's (TMC®) INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine (www.itmag.com) has named the ControlSwitch User Services Core™ (USC) as the recipient of its 2007 Product of the Year Award. INTERNET TELEPHONY has been the VoIP Authority Since 1998™.

The Veraz ControlSwitch USC is an IMS core that enables service providers to speed their time to revenue by enabling the rapid creation and delivery of new services. Service providers are able to migrate quickly and efficiently from traditional voice networks to an IMS network and services architecture without disruption to existing service delivery. This speeds the adoption of innovative multimedia applications that can combine voice, messaging, web content and presence. The Control Switch USC is highly scalable with relatively small footprint, which makes it attractive for both initial deployments and expansions. It is built around a modular, programmable, distributed architecture with open interfaces to media devices, application servers and back-office systems.

"We are very pleased to receive the Product of the Year award by INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine, recognizing our product strength in the NGN switching market," said Amit Chawla, EVP of Global Business Units for Veraz. "The Veraz ControlSwitch USC is delivering on the value and principles of the IMS architecture, and we will continue to develop innovative products to enhance our customers' business."

"Veraz has proven they are committed to quality and excellence while addressing real needs in the marketplace. INTERNET TELEPHONY is pleased to grant a 2007 Product of the Year Award to their ControlSwitch," said Rich Tehrani, TMC President and Editor-in-Chief of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine. "We're proud to honor their hard work and accomplishments and look forward to more innovative solutions from Veraz in the future."

A full list of Product of the Year winners will be published in the February 2008 issue of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine. (www.itmag.com)
