Ipedo, a provider of enterprise information virtualization software, has announced support for the Netezza Performance Server appliance. Ipedo XIP is now claimed to create virtual views that combine data from Netezza with data from other relational databases and web services.
The company has claimed that with this integration, customers can explore data in Netezza servers using Ipedo's graphical modeling interface to create virtual tables for use in BI and reporting applications. Data in Netezza can be combined with data from other relational databases, data marts and web services.
Netezza's enterprise-class streaming analytic appliance, combined with Ipedo's data virtualization platform, will provide terascale analytics with real time information virtualization.
Nick Zhang, CEO of Ipedo, said: "We are increasingly seeing Netezza appliances in use in our customer base, and we wanted to make it as easy as possible for our customers to include this data in their models. We are pleased to now be able to offer optimized support for Netezza to allow broader data sets to be used in critical business applications."
