Digital Networks has evolved their solutions portfolio to include leading edge Resilient Ethernet and SAN Interconnection products. By providing advanced Ethernet switching and SAN internetworking technology to their existing serial device and Ethernet product offerings, Digital Networks' customers can fill the voids they are currently experiencing in their network and storage infrastructures.
"Digital Networks is a unique company with an equally unique heritage. With a history that leads back to Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), we're one of the only networking companies that has installations still providing efficient problem-free service after 10 years of operation," explains Vic Capozzi, President of Digital Networks. "With the introduction of our UniqueNetworkingSolutions focus, we offer our customers the technologies they need to expand their networking environment while still preserving the integrity of their original network investment."
Through their agreement with Extreme Networks(R), Digital Networks' customers can use advanced scalable Ethernet switching platforms to build the complex resilient networks their business critical environments demand. Extreme Networks' Ethernet switching products support large enterprise core and data centers, high performance cluster computing environments, as well as, networks where space and costs are a concern, and those rapidly adopting new technologies, such as wireless and Voice-over-IP (VoIP).
Digital Networks' partnership with LightSand provides storage managers with the ability to interconnect SANs regardless of physical location, connection topology, or vendor. S-series SONET gateways incorporate high performance WAN flow control mechanisms to provide reliable transportation of Fibre Channel frames at distances beyond 16,000km. The i-Switch series contains a revolutionary technology that functions like a Fibre Channel Router. With this series, SANs can be segmented into autonomous regions while providing reliable interconnections between the heterogeneous SAN fabrics.
